Aaron Gramer has been racing in the Tampa Bay area for many years, graduating from the streets and bridges across the bay to the track and into the stock suspension/radial tire movement. When John Sears formed the Real Street class, Gramer got serious and put together a purpose-built car for the class. The Fox body Mustang featured a mild steel cage with power coming from a small block Ford topped with TFS Hi-Port heads and a class legal plate nitrous system.

He qualified 3rd with the top small block nitrous car in competition. An after hours test run netted a 1.19 3.304 5.07 @ 138 on just the ninth pass on the car.
Aaron put together a successful team with Joe Erwin, Greg Knous and Joe Barbara running near the top of the class. With the introduction of X275, some changes were in order to stay competitive with the ET’s dropping steadily under the less restrictive rules package, however Gramer had to take some time off after a back injury forced him from the drivers seat. During this time a new car was located and purchased and the engine was sent to Fast Forward Race Engines for upgrades. Once Aaron had the go ahead from the doctor, he was back at it getting the new car finished up.
The 434 SBF is the same basic engine from his silver car with some changes to be more competitive in X275. Grade A internals feature new Diamond pistons for a compression increase. The High Port TFS Heads come from TEA with some additional massaging by engine builder Joe Irwin from Fast Forward Race Engines. A Speedtech fogger and Wislon plate system were set up by Troy Pirez Jr.’s Innovative Racecraft. The Pro Systems carb mixes the air and fuel.
The housing was also done by Team Z and filled with Strange internals including 40 spline gun drilled axles. Strange brakes and shocks are all around the car.
The interior is sparse with only the essentials. The chassis and cage was done at Team Z with the funny car addition by Will Bodly Racecraft. Autometer gauges mounted in the center monitor critical functions, the B&M air assisted shifter allows Aaron to keep both hands on the wheel when racing, a must have for many racers anymore.
The MSD Digital 7 programable ignition and an assortment of relays, fuses and wires was done up by Greg Knous and Aaron for a no frills functional install.
The sanitary truck area houses twin batteries and a water ballast tank for weight placement. Underneath a Magnafuel 500 electric pump feed the engine and nitrous system.
