When our friend Javier Padron, owner of Skull Crusher Adventures shared his latest video creation with us centering around William Mitchell’s just-plain-nasty 1967 Mustang coupe, we had no choice but to share this with you folks. William’s unique coupe is powered by a 370 cubic-inch small-block Ford V8, coupled with a ProCharger F1X head unit, and an EFI fuel setup–but it wasn’t always the iteration we see before us today.
Though William has owned the car since he was 16 years old, his father originally owned this Mustang previously. After his Mustang had taken a hiatus since 2003, William began by repainting his ’67 Mustang coupe in the original factory Ford color, Clearwater Aqua.

Things were beginning to come along quite nicely for this restored ’67 Mustang after ensuring the finish was perfect.
Next on the list was the power-plant. William explains that he came from a carbureted V8 background, exclaiming, “I came from a nitrous powered carbureted car. I wanted to setup this car for x275, but those dudes are out of control–I don’t have that kind of money. Now, we go to No Prep/street car Grudge stuff–where we don’t have to have the most money to win,” he detailed.
William's ProCharged '67 Mustang coupe might look all business and ready for the strip, but this car does see street time as well. He even won a "Best In Class" award at a local Texas car show.
After a much needed dyno session at Texas Jam Racing (formerly Murillo Motorsports) out of San Antonio, Texas, tuning the new ProCharger combination, we can only assume that William was happy with the results–since this Mustang is a grudge car. We can’t wait to see the car hit the local strip and start throwing up some W’s!
