If you followed our coverage of all the official events at Mustang Week, you know there is already a lot to take in. However, there is some cushion built into the schedule for attendees to enjoy the beach and other attractions around Myrtle Beach.
However, if a horde of Mustang enthusiasts invades a town for a week, there are bound to be more gatherings of like-minded gearheads. As such, there are numerous meets and parties to attend — because sleep is so overrated. We wanted to sample them all, but managed to get only a couple each night, so we thought we’d share some of the after-hours highlights here…
Mustang 6G Meet At Ducatis Pizzeria
Sponsored by Diode Dynamics, Livernois Motorsports and Velgen Wheel, Mustang6G’s second-annual Myrtle Beach Meet-Up took place at Ducati’s Pizzeria & Trattoria. Great Pizza, frosty cold beverages and amazing sixth-gen Mustangs made this stop near the top of the list.
The weather wasn’t speculator, but that didn’t keep away the Mustangs. Door prizes included gift cards from Diode Dynamics/Livernois Motorsports, T-Shirts and Anchor Room Tint Packages, a one-of-one carbon fiber steering wheel from CJ Pony Parts, and $1,000 off a set of Velgen wheels.
Retro Meet At Suck, Bang, Blow
Harris Lue and Michael Clark brought back the ’80s in style at Suck, Bang, Blow with a DJ spinning ’80s tunes, a dance-off, and a fashion show, which all reminded us why Fox Mustangs rule!

Michael Clark’s Member’s Only-style Ford Motorsport jacket was the perfect accessory to complement all the long hair (wigs) and Fox Mustangs we spotted at the Retro Meet.
While you are at SBB, you have to experience the ‘Burn Box’ in person, vids and words can’t describe what happens when you back up a race-prepped, twin-turbo Mustang into a plexi-lined box and light the tires!
This was the party to attend in 2017 and we can’t wait until next September to do it all again!
Thursday
Terminator Meet At Grand Strand Baptist Church
If you like Terminators, man, this was the place to be! At least one of every color, coupes and convertibles, too. There were also a bunch of friendly owners who are passionate about their Terminators. ‘Herding the cats’ to get a drone shot of one coupe of each color offered took a bit of time, but the shots and vids must have been worth it.

Up and coming event photographer Cooper Jennings checked out his latest photo while dad Doug finished up the polishing on the family’s AML Tribute Car. This rare Comp Orange convertible pays homage to Doug’s wife Bethanne who passed from cancer back in 2015.
Mustang Fan Club Meet At Boardwalk Billy’s
Between getting tied up at another event, and the Mustang Fan Club’s meet being way up in North Myrtle, we missed most of the fun. As such, MFC’s Jaron Cole filled us in on all the details. It was the fourth year for this gathering, and the new location provided more parking. Sponsors Roush Performance and UPR Products gave away event T-shirts and the grilled-shrimp tacos were hard to beat as well. We’ll hit this one early in 2018!
CJ Pony Parts At Liberty Tap Room & Grill
With over 120 cars showing up to Liberty Tap Room, the first-annual CJ Pony Parts Meet was resounding success that even got coverage on the local TV news.
Supreme Stangs helped organize the madness and support from Velgen Wheels, JLT Performance, UPR Products, Diode Dynamics, Cervini’s, Flowmaster, Hurst, Barton, and Anchor Room. With great food, great times and great prizes (over $6,000 worth!), this meet on our list of must-attend after-hours events for 2018.

Girls’ Night Out At Cali Baker’s Firehouse
This is the one that got us thinking about doing the ‘After Hours Meet Crawl,’ we figured they’d let us in! Unfortunately, not many ladies could escape to make the night out. Come on, ladies, let’s make this happen in 2018!
The ladies making it out for GNO were treated to a visit by Amy Boylan of Saleen as well as some great eats from Cali Baker’s new Firehouse. Order the Old Bay Chicken Wings. They are excellent.
So there you have it, a sampling of the after-hours Mustang Week action. There are sure to be numerous add-on events at next year’s Mustang Week, which is scheduled for September 3-9, 2018. We hope to see you there.
