The current Fiesta ST is one of the most universally loved performance cars around. It received rave reviews from a litany of automotive media outlets for its stunning balance of sharpened performance and budget-friendly pricing. That said, the Fiesta ST is definitely due for a freshening, and we will get the first official look at that update this Friday.
“We’ll be back in a Ford Fiesta ST,” Tyrone Johnson, the Vehicle Engineering Manager for Ford Performance said when the latest Fiesta update was revealed last December. “The production will start in January 2018, but the disclosure will all end in 2017 instead…”
It seems as though the wait might not be as long as we thought, as Ford Europe is set to reveal the forthcoming Fiesta ST in an online video. The teaser released today shows the camo’d ST tearing through the Ford plant along with a cyclist.
The teaser video Ford released today gives us brief glimpses of a camouflaged Fiesta ST and reveals a new wheel design. We will learn more on Friday when Ford Europe unveils the next-gen Fiesta ST in a video.
“Ford Europe will reveal the next-generation Fiesta ST on the 24th with a video featuring a mystery driver battling a top BMX rider,” says the company.
We can’t wait to see what Ford brings to the table with the next version of its entry-level hot hatch, so be sure to stay tuned. We’ll bring you all the details right here.
