Summer 2017 is here, and our friends at AmericanMuscle.com have a contest going on that just might give you the chance to reignite your build this summer. It’s called the American Muscle $7,000 Summertime Mustang Build, and it gives one lucky Mustang enthusiast a quick and easy way to upgrade their ride.
The American Muscle team knows that shopping with a $7,000 budget on their website will allow the winner the chance to start (or finish!) their Mustang build just the way they want it. Did we mention that AM will also cover the cost of the install?
That got us thinking. What would we spend the $7,000 on? We took some time this week checking out the AmericanMuscle.com website to pick a sample list of upgrades we would order for an EcoBoost Mustang on a $7,ooo budget. The results just might surprise you (see sidebar). You can really put together a pretty impressive list with this sort of budget.

For our sample build, we used American Muscle’s 2015 Mustang 2.3-liter EcoBoost to see just what upgrades we could perform with the $7,000 budget using only parts from its website. (Photo Credit: American Muscle)

So what would you do with a $7,000 shopping spree from American Muscle? Would you focus primarily on performance upgrades or would you mix it up with some external modifications?
The $7,000 Summertime Mustang Build sweepstakes runs now through August 31, 2017 and you can enter right here. There is no purchase necessary, and you don’t even need to be a current Mustang owner for your chance to win! Of course, current Mustang owners are always encouraged to dream big as well.
