By now you’re probably familiar with the ROUSH Performance 2.3-liter TVS supercharger and its capabilities. It’s no surprise that we’ve covered it in depth over the years, and even toured ROUSH’s facilities to learn how its superchargers are produced. What differs in today’s video from our friends at AmericanTrucks added one to a lightly modified 2011 SVT Raptor.
If you’re a frequent viewer of AmericanMuscle’s channel, then you’ll know just exactly who Justin Dugan is. As AM’s video host, he’s also the owner of a Coyote Mustang. He also owns one of Ford’s all-new EcoBoost-powered F-150 Raptors, as well. Who better to guide us on our virtual journey for boost?

With a 75mm pulley good for 8–10 psi of boost and a custom tune from VMP Performance, the ROUSH Phase 2 supercharger kit pumps out nearly 500 horsepower at the rear wheels, as detailed in a video from AmericanTrucks.
In near-stock-form, this ’11 SVT Raptor putdown a solid 345 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels on AT’s in-house dyno. These 6.2-liter SOHC V8 engines are undoubtedly torquey. From the graph in the video, you can see more than 300 lb-ft of torque at just 2,200 rpm. Combined with a ROUSH 3-inch cat-back system and the new supercharger, this blown Raptor put down a respectable 457 horsepower and 463 lb-ft of torque.
That is a gain of 112 horsepower and 98 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, but under the curve is where the magic happens. At just 3,700 rpm, the Raptor picks up more than 100 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. Not bad for a day’s worth of work!
