The ProCharger booth was absolutely packed throughout SEMA week, as you can see in these pictures, but we managed to steal a few minutes with Sales and Dealer Development Manager, Grant Jones.
ProCharger had a lot of cool stuff on display, like the Fireball Mustang: a ProCharged Mustang package available directly from many Ford dealerships. There was also a Challenger on display. We know, you’re not here for that, but it’s a pretty cool story. It was stolen en route to SEMA and recovered after being damaged in a police chase. But we digress . . .
The Fireball Mustang is a pretty awesome package. This particular 2019 Mustang GT/CS is owned by Billy Hayes of B&R Performance, but it is the same as what you would find at a dealership. It features a ProCharger P-1X supercharger, Stage II intercooler, Kooks 1-3/4 Headers, and a polished quad-tip exhaust. In all four corners sit American Racing wheels (20×9 in the front and 20×10.5 in the rear), wrapped in Nitto NT 555 62 tires. Underneath, a BMR suspension had been installed. The package is rated at more than 775 horsepower.

The Fireball’s P-1X supercharger, when installed, has a maximum boost rating of 32 psi and a maximum horsepower rating of 875, depending on the application. Those are pretty impressive power numbers!
Jones also introduced us to the 50-state legal superchargers for 2015-2017 and 2018-2019 Mustangs with the factory air-box. ProCharger claims the largest power gains in the industry with 55 to 60-percent more power on 6.5psi and 8psi of boost respectively, using the factory airbox, for the High Output (HO) supercharger. The Stage II system (like the one on the Fireball) delivers a 60 to 65-percent-horsepower gain at 8.5psi of boost, and a 65 to 70-percent gain at 9psi of boost, respectively.
Standard systems feature the P-1SC-1 supercharger, with an optional upgrade to the P-1X supercharger, as well as a variety of finishes, and optional helical gears.
The ProCharger High Output (HO) system includes a 6-rib shared belt drive, 750-plus-horsepower intercooler, 52 lb/hr injectors (2015-2017 Mustang), and a handheld programmer and tuning. It is said that installation can be completed in as little as six hours with hand tools. Meanwhile, the Stage II system includes a 6-rib shared belt drive system, fuel pump booster, 1,200-plus-horsepower-capable intercooler, and handheld programmer and tune (plus 52 lb-hr injectors for 2015-2017 Mustangs).
Whether you live in California or outside of it, ProCharger has got your need for speed covered!
