The fastback Mustang is a genre-definer when it comes to pony cars. The first real, iconic example was the 1964 ½ Mustang, and from there on out it was a battle of the brands with the Big Three in competition for the street and the strip. The real winner of course, being the consumer.

This 1970 Boss 429 Mustang has a little more power than what was available from stock and now pushes an impressive 800 horsepower, and that is on nothing more than pump gas! The engine powering this beast is a 545-cubic-inch Ford V8 hooked up to a Tremex TKO-600 five-speed manual transmission and Ford 9-inch rearend with 3.25:1 gearing.
The engine is built up with COMP cams, forged pistons, and a roller camshaft. It also features Jon Kaase aluminum heads, a Kaase intake, and Kaase valve covers. Additional performance enhancers include a Howe Racing aluminum radiator, Ford Performance Parts aluminum water pump, Zirgo electric cooling fan, Baer disc brakes front and rear, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor.
We love the build on this Mustang and between the 545-cube monster under the hood to the Fastback body, it would be hard to do any better. The iconic Mustang is one cool car to be sure, and we are always up for a good custom classic like this.
