Ford fanatics the world over are preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the one and only Mustang next week. Ford has released a list of all the official 50th Mustang anniversary events and we’ve copied them below.
April 10-16 – Mustangs Across America 50th Anniversary Drive
Running from LA to Charlotte, over 500 Mustangs will make their way across the country.
April 13-16 – Mustang Club of America Great American Pony Drive
Kicking off in Norman, OK, the great American Pony Drive will split into two groups one headed to Charlotte, and the other to Vegas. Other Mustangs will likely join the drive as it makes it’s way cross-country.
April 16-17 – 2015 Ford Mustang at the Empire State Building
Ford pulled this stunt in 1965, and will do it again by cutting a Mustang into three sections, assembling it on the Empire State Building and putting it on display.
April 16-20 – Mustang Club of America 50 Year Celebrations
Las Vegas and Charlotte are the cities to be in if you want to party down with tons of Mustang fans, take in tons of cool cars, learn Mustang history, and even participate in some Ford ride and drives. StangTV will be on hand at both events providing coverage.
April 17 – 2015 Ford Mustang at Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
With one of the greatest marketing campaigns in history the Mustang was launched April 17, 1964 in Flushing Meadows, NY at the World’s Fair. 50 years to the day the 2015 Mustang will be on display for a small celebration.
April 17 – Ford Employee Celebration
Ford will hold a private celebration for employees at the company’s Dearborn headquarters.
April 27 – Fabulous Fords Forever Car Show at Knott’s Berry Farm
Put on by the Ford Car Club Council, the largest all Ford show on the west coast is always a good time.
May 3-4 – Mustang Madness at Petersen MuseumThe Peteresen Museum in Los Angeles will celebrate 50 years of Mustang with a series of special events.
