May of us played with Hot Wheels toy cars as children, and some of us still even collect the cars to this day. As adults they often adorn our desks, man cave, book shelves, or even a special display area. Regardless of what types of cars an enthusiast is into, chances are they had some Hot Wheels as a child.
Hot Wheels is set to release a new 2010 Ford Shelby GT500™ Mustang collectible. In case there wasn’t enough incentive to pick one up already, the K&N Ford Racing Mustang RTR racecar wheeled by Dave Martis, has secured the regional NASA American Iron championship and will soon be heading to Sonoma, California to compete for the National Championship, making the toy’s introduction even more enticing.
K&N Ford Racing Mustang RTR racecar in original and 1:64 scale
The Hot Wheels 2015 HW City‘10 Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang car features a paint scheme designed to match the K&N built Ford Racing Mustang RTR race car. We covered the real Coyote powered K&N racer a few months back, which you can read about here. While the fantasy cars that Hot Wheels regularly dreams up are cool, it’s even better to see them replicate a real car, and to think about kids rolling it across the floor, and around tracks for years to come.
