For the third year in a row, the Ford Mustang dominated sports coupe sales around the globe. Of the nearly 126,000 vehicles registered worldwide, Ford reported that only 81,866 of those are registered to owners in the United States. So, if you do the math, over a third of all Mustang registrations inked in other countries, including Australia, where they love V8 power
There are many Mustang car clubs outside the United States, and when the land down under was officially introduced to its right-hand variant of the popular Mustang, it was an instant success. And it appears our Aussie counterparts prefer having the power of the Gen 2 Coyote’s 5.0 engine as well. According to the Herald Sun Australia, in 2017, fewer than 10 percent of Mustangs sold in Australia were the four-cylinder EcoBoost variety.
