You just bought a top tier sports car for a few hundred grand. You’re most definitely the most stylin’ guy in the neighborhood but that still isn’t enough for the owner of this Lamborghini.
With a car that’s pretty much flawless from the factory, what else can you do to spice up your ride? Well you could just throw an exhaust on it or change out the wheels but that isn’t enough to truly make a statement. Instead you chop up your newly found gold mine and model it after a car that costs a fraction of what your newest acquisition did. Right? That’s exactly what the owner of this Gallardo did.
Perhaps the strangest part of this build is that it wasn’t a complete hack job. Normally when something like this comes about it results in a destroyed car but in this case the job was done very well. It looks to have been planned and executed in a professional capacity. Normally, those who build cars of this stature will go the route of ultimate performance (Think UGR).
However, according to the owner via epiccarnage.com, “he wanted to take the Mustang’s American looks but maintain an Italian AWD, V10 drive train.” With that in mind, the elephant in the room that must be addressed is “why not just put a Lambo drivetrain in a Mustang instead?” The only answer we could seem to scrape up is that using a Mustang as a platform wouldn’t be internet quality content.
While the end result is far from worst that we’ve seen, we’re obviously still a proponent of the original look. We give it one thing: it’s different… take that how you will. But hey, if the owner likes it that’s all that matters. Maybe we’re the fools for being average. What do you think of this melding of brawn and beauty?
