With seven NASCAR championships under his prodigious belt buckle, Richard Petty must really need something special to get his adrenaline pumping. Fortunately he has his own series of custom Mustangs that range from mildly upgraded to bold and boosted. Recently, he grabbed the keys to one of these cars to film a little promotional video and the smoke started to billow.

How do you attract attention to your line of custom Mustangs? Well, throwing the keys to the car’s iconic namesake, Richard Petty, and asking him to do a burnout is definitely the way to our hearts.
“These new King edition Mustangs are pretty much the way I’d build my own. They are great fun to drive, and have a signature single exhaust,” Richard Petty said when the King Editions were introduced.

The Petty’s Garage King Edition Mustangs carry a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty, so Richard Petty obviously felt pretty confident about letting it rip for a little burnout video.
