Saleen Automotive pays tribute to the S7’s racing legacy with a limited run of seven Le Mans edition supercars. Its twin-turbo 7.0-liter engine is set up to run with a flex fuel calibration, so it churns out 1,000 horsepower on 91 octane and 1,300 horsepower on E85.

“True to our form, we are bringing back America’s only true supercar,” Steve Saleen, CEO of Saleen Automotive, said. “We are celebrating our winning heritage and advancing the performance DNA that Saleen was built around.”
That’s certainly a bold claim, but the latest S7 is most certainly super as it is powered by a twin-turbo 7.0-liter engine backed by a six-speed syncromesh transaxle with a limited slip differential and an 8-inch, twin-disc clutch. This powertrain is mounted in a of lightweight-steel space frame with honeycomb composite panels. The body is sprayed in a black and silver paint scheme with clear-coated carbon fiber.
“I know that the world has escalated on horsepower and top speed, but all I can tell you is wait and see how fast this one will go in the top speed in the near future,” Steve said when the car was revealed alongside the new S1.
Besides its space-age supercar assets, the S7 is still filled with all the creature comforts, so you can daily drive it if you so desire. However, only seven of these Saleen machines are set for construction and the asking price is a cool $1 million, so you might want to get a deposit down ASAP.
