Shelby American and Barrett-Jackson have teamed up to build a one-of-a-kind Shelby Super Snake inside the Do-It-Yourself Pavilion during the 10th Annual Las Vegas Auction on Oct. 19-21, 2017, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Not only will this be a great show for attendees, but it marks quite an historic occasion, as this 50th Anniversary Super Snake will be the first car to be constructed outside of confines of a Shelby American facility.
Carroll Shelby was a great friend to many of us at Barrett-Jackson. — Craig Jackson, Barrett-Jackson Auction Company
Guests will have the unique opportunity to see a Shelby American muscle car built by an assembly team including factory technicians and Craig Jackson himself. The build process will follow the same production schedule that the Shelby American factory team adheres to at the company’s plant.

The Barrett-Jackson build will start with a base Ford Mustang GT, which will be upgraded to a 750-horsepower muscle car with the integration of an upgraded handling pack, a supercharger, and an exhaust from Ford Performance. The Super Snake will also wear 20-inch forged aluminum wheels and a Wilwood brake system.
It will also be historic, as we’ve never completed a Super Snake build outside our Las Vegas facility. — Gary Patterson, Shelby American
The 10th Annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction will be broadcast on Discovery and Velocity during the three-day auction. You can learn more information about the even and check out all the pertinent schedules by visiting the auction’s official site right here.
