In an epic let’s get the party started, Ford Mustang style, the Blue Oval continues the celebration of 50 years of the iconic pony in a new video appropriately named “Ford Mustang 50 Years of Fun” now online on Ford Performance’s Youtube channel. Gathering all but one of the six generations of the Mustang together for two days of smoke filled air and sideways action. Professional drifters Vaughn Gittin Jr., Chris Forsberg, and Ryan Tuerck were the hired guns charged with unleashing all this horsepower.
Directed by Andrew Laputka, highlighting the customization the Mustang community embraces and the era of each generation, cars and drivers are brought together for some serious power to the pavement fun. In this latest video installment Mustang enthusiasts are given a behind the scenes look into the making Ford’s 50 Years of Fun.
Featuring everything from the 2015 RTR Spec Five Concept, to a heavily modified 1978 Mustang II to a sick 1990 Fox Body nick named T Rex that throws down 855 horsepower to the rear wheel along with several other power packing steeds, just about any gearheads junkie addiction will be satisfied in this impressive thrown down of pure Mustang muscle at its best.
Owners willing to let Gittin Jr. and the crew get crazy pushing their rides to the limits without a second thought handed over the keys to some of the baddest Mustang creations on the planet for raw unbridled drifting shenanigans and hairy situations on the Ford Proving Grounds. The video celebrates not only fifty years of the iconic horse but its redesign as a world class muscle car and in essence signifies the past sending the next generation off to spread the word of the Mustang on a global scale. Why? Well why else Because Mustang. Not just a car but a way of life that Ford Motor Company is now sharing with the world.
