The latest Mustangs truly are modern marvels, especially those equipped with the Coyote 5.0-liter engine. The second-gen version of those vaunted engines is proving quite robust — thanks to lessons learned from the Boss 302 RoadRunner engine program — and that is paying dividends when enthusiasts add boost.

This 2016 Ford Mustang GT goes up against the chassis dyno while running E85 and puts out an impressive 835 rear-wheel horsepower and 655 lb-ft of torque! You read that right. Better yet, that kind of power is achieved while it’s running on the stock long-block.

The airflow system has been upgraded to feature a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger fed by a Ford Performance Cobra Jet cold air intake. Meanwhile, the fuel system is bolstered by Fore Innovations gear and Injector Dynamics ID1000 injectors, while the tuning has been updated by Lund Racing. To keep up with all of the powerful new equipment, the build team, Team Beefcake Racing, upgraded the oil delivery system using a Boundary pump gear and Triangle Speed Shop sprocket.

The video above is short, simple, and to the point. It literally just shows the powerful ‘Stang on the chassis dyno. What’s important is the audio. The sound of that Whipple supercharger breathing into that engine is music to our ears.  We also love that there is enough airflow from the exhaust and the rotation of the rear wheels to blow the banners all over the wall.
