Racing in the Pro-Class for the Goodguys Autocross takes a lot of things, but above all, it takes a “drive it like you stole it” mentality. Mike Maier of Maier Racing exudes this attitude as he remains a Pro-Class driver for the 2013 Goodguys AutoCross season. You don’t have to take our word for it, just check out the video of Maier tearing it up at the 13th Del Mar Nationals above to see for yourself.
Maier Racing designs and manufactures suspension components for Mustang models ranging from 1965 to 1998, as well as composite body components. Influenced strongly by both Bill and Mike Maier’s racing careers, Maier Racing focuses on superior performance for everything it offers, whether you’re talking straight-line racing or curvy autocross maneuvering.
This can be seen not only in the products that Maier Racing offers but also in the trust that Mike Maier himself puts into his Maier-equipped cars.
Earlier this month, Maier brought his ‘66 Mustang out to the Goodguys 13th Del Mar Nationals where he showed passengers and spectators exactly what being a Pro-Class driver and a Maier believer is all about. After all, Maier’s ’66 has a full Maier Racing suspension kit on it.
Although Maier didn’t take the Autocross Pro-Class title home for the event (that designation went to Mary Pozzi), he still pleased the crowds with his epic driving and performance-ridden car. But we’ll let you see for yourself!
