Do you put your prize car away for the winter or even store it away during the workweek while you drive your beater? If you care enough to keep your car out of harm’s way, we’ll bet you care enough to keep it covered up to shield it from dust or worse. However, if you are like us, you miss seeing your car while it is hidden under a cover. That’s exactly why Covercraft developed the ViewShield cover.
“We designed these for man caves, car shows and for any enthusiast who wants to keep dust and fingerprints off their car, but still be able to admire it,” Rick Messmore, Marketing Director at Covercraft, explained.
The innovative, new ViewShield covers allow you to protect your ride, but still catch a glimpse of it (even if it’s not a Ford). That way you know it’s safe, but you don’t miss it quite as much. (Photo Credit: Covercraft)

“The fabric is a RipStop polyester and a DWR finish to increase dust resistance (and you could even use it at a weekend show),” Rick explained. “It is a very lightweight, compact cover for easy storage, and it can be cleaned in a home washer/dryer. The custom covers can be made with or without the elastic in the front and rear hems. Customers who use the covers exclusively inside a garage believe the non-elastic version is easier to remove and install.”
Yes, we have patterns for the all the Mustangs, and with our 85,000-plus-pattern library we can cover almost anything with wheels… — Rick Messmore, Covercraft
“Yes, we have patterns for the all the Mustangs, and with our 85,000-plus-pattern library we can cover almost anything with wheels (and if not we custom make patterns from customer supplied dimensions),” he explained.
No matter what the vehicle, these covers are custom patterned for an exacting fit and held snug via optional elastic inside the hem, front and back. These covers also feature overlapped, double-needle-stitched seams for enhanced durability. In all, they make for a pretty cool solution for protecting your ride while it is stored indoors (or even outdoors at a show).

It’s not a surprise that these clever covers have been well received since their debut at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada, last November.
“The response at SEMA was overwhelming, people spend hours detailing their vehicles and in a garage environment everyone got the concept for this cover — keep the dust off, but let the color shine through,” Rick said.
The ViewShield covers start at $276 and you can learn more about them on the company’s official site right here.
